Rare are the honeys with a smoky, caramelised taste like this one. It is harvested on Mont Lozère in September-October, just before the first frosts. Its special texture makes its extraction delicate, while indicating its purity in Callune heather flowers.
The Vielvic honey factory distributes its hives in the Cèze and Chassezac valleys: the furthest hives are 30km from the farm.
