La Mielerie de Vielvic
"We have the satisfaction of producing raw honeys".
At the Mielerie de Vielvic, beekeeping is a family affair. The farm was founded in 1937 by Pierre de la Rue du Can's grandfather. Located in Vielvic, at the foot of the Lozère mountain, the farm has 900 beehives producing honey only from the region (callune, chestnut, mountain, forest...).
They have decided to stay within a 40 km radius of their honey factory and to take advantage of the exceptional land that the Cevennes National Park offers them. They thus produce "miels de cru", as they call them, which have taste. The environment is ideal for the conduct of apiaries, there are no crops, so no chemicals and the successive blooms give tasty honeys.
They adhere to the Esprit Parc National brand, which allows them to make their customers aware that the honey they buy comes from a preserved environment, where the flowers are not treated.
